Definition and Usage
The max-height property sets the maximum height of an element.
Note: The max-height property does not include padding, borders, or margins!

The max-height property is supported in all major browsers.
Note: No versions of Internet Explorer (including IE8) support the property value "inherit".
Property Values
| Value | Description |
|---|---|
| none | No maximum height. This is default |
| length | Defines the maximum height in px, cm, etc. |
| % | Defines the maximum height in percent of the containing block |
| inherit | Specifies that the value of the max-height property should be inherited from the parent element |
